- Cardiology Hospitalist - Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS)
Description
Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) is seeking a dedicated Cardiology Hospitalist to join its Lafayette, Louisiana team. CIS is one of the nation’s leading cardiovascular practices, known for delivering comprehensive, high-quality cardiac care through a physician-led, integrated model that prioritizes clinical excellence and patient outcomes.
As a Cardiology Hospitalist at CIS, you will focus on the inpatient management of cardiovascular patients, working closely with interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and non-invasive cardiologists to ensure seamless continuity of care. This role is designed for physicians who enjoy acute care cardiology, collaborative practice, and the ability to focus on inpatient medicine without the demands of outpatient clinic responsibilities.
The position includes daily inpatient rounding, admissions, consultations, and coordination of care for complex cardiac patients. You will practice in a highly supportive environment with access to advanced diagnostic and interventional services, experienced nursing teams, and established protocols that promote efficiency, safety, and excellent outcomes.
CIS provides a modern, well-supported practice environment with systems in place to reduce administrative burden and allow physicians to focus on patient care. Scheduling is structured to support work-life balance while maintaining high standards of inpatient cardiovascular coverage. This role is well suited for physicians seeking stability, predictability, and meaningful clinical impact within a respected cardiovascular organization.
This position offers competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and long-term career stability within a growing cardiovascular network. Both experienced hospitalists and cardiologists seeking a hospital-focused role are encouraged to apply.
Cardiovascular Institute of the South is proud to be part of Cardiovascular Logistics (CVL), a national cardiovascular services organization that partners with leading cardiology practices across the country. Through CVL, CIS physicians benefit from enterprise-level operational support, strategic growth resources, and access to a national cardiovascular network, while preserving the culture and autonomy of a physician-led practice.
