We are seeking a nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join our Vascular Surgery team at MedStar Health Medical Center at Chevy Chase. This location provides access to specialists from MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, MedStar Washington Hospital Center, and MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital. Our modern, expanded facility delivers comprehensive outpatient care, including specialty vascular services.
Role Responsibilities
This is an ambulatory role with responsibilities that include:
- Independent management of Vascular Surgery clinic patients.
- Performing patient evaluations, follow-up visits, and ongoing management of vascular conditions.
- Developing and implementing outpatient plans of care in collaboration with attending vascular surgeons.
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing, and coordinating follow-up care.
- Daily collaboration and clinic-based rounds with the attending physician.
- Patient education, care coordination, and continuity of care across the vascular service line.
Schedule
- Four 10-hour shifts (Monday–Friday)
- Schedule varies based on clinic needs
- No weekends, no inpatient call
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nurse practitioner or physician assistant program
- 1–2 years of APP experience required
- Cardiovascular or vascular surgery experience preferred
- Comfortable practicing independently in an outpatient setting
- Strong verbal and written communication, clinical judgment, and team collaboration skills
- Basic computer skills preferred

This position has a hiring range of USD $115,000.00 – USD $143,619.00/year.
