The Congenital Heart Center at Atrium Health Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina is seeking a qualified pediatric cardiologist with expertise in non-invasive imaging to join our Cardiac Imaging section.
Position Highlights:
Collaborative & Well Established- Our team is comprised of a remarkable group of specialists: 19 cardiologists, 3 congenital heart surgeons, 8 cardiac intensivists, 5 pediatric cardiac anesthesiologists, 2 pediatric cardiac radiologists, 20 APPs—including 3 surgical APPs—16 sonographers, 5 nurse navigators, and 9 dedicated RNs. This collective expertise empowers us to consistently deliver top-tier care throughout the region, including robust support for multiple NICUs.
Full Subspecialty Support - advanced fetal cardiology initiative, which collaborates closely with numerous MFM providers. This partnership enhances our continuum of care, ensuring comprehensive support for both patients and their families at every stage.
Robust Program - Operationally, we integrate both inpatient and outpatient services, with patient management centered around an open ICU.

The Levine Children’s Congenital Heart Center, established in 2010, is consistently ranked as one of the top pediatric heart centers in the country by U.S. News and World Report. Our comprehensive congenital heart services include congenital cardiac imaging (including fetal echocardiography, cross sectional cardiac imaging and advanced echocardiography), dedicated cardiovascular intensive care unit and staff, regional referral programs in heart failure/transplantation, cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology and adult congenital heart disease. Our new outpatient office complex opened in December 2020, designed to meet all patients’ needs from fetal cardiology to ACHD. We have one of the most comprehensive Cardiac Neurodevelopment programs in the Southeast, providing specialty services to our congenital heart patients in the same office suite. Participation in investigator initiated and multi-center industry sponsored studies is ongoing within the Heart Center, with the support of an active clinical research department. We are also closely aligned with our Atrium Health adult cardiology counterparts within the Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute. Our surgical and interventional cath volumes have continued to grow steadily over the last decade.

Requirements
Ideal Candidate:
- Completed three (3) years of fellowship in pediatric cardiology and advanced training in non-invasive imaging (or comparable experience).
- Applicants must have a commitment to academic and clinical excellence in Pediatric Cardiology and imaging, including transthoracic, transesophageal, and fetal echocardiography.
- Expertise in cross sectional imaging including cardiac MR/CT is welcome but not required. The position also includes participation in inpatient and outpatient peds cardiology services.
- Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in pediatric cardiology and able to obtain an unrestricted NC and SC licenses BLS and PALS certifications are required.
