A.P. New York Comprehensive Medical Care (NYCMC) is a physician-owned, multi-specialty cardiology and diagnostics practice with five locations across Long Island. We are hiring a non-invasive cardiologist to serve as Director of Cardiac Imaging for our Nassau County sites (Mineola and Westbury).

The imaging program

• In-house cardiac PET/CT (rubidium): about 1,500 PET studies a year
• Full echocardiography lab with strain
• Vascular lab: carotid, arterial and venous duplex, abdominal aorta
• Holter and mobile cardiac telemetry (MCT) program
• Exercise and pharmacologic stress testing

The role

• Outpatient only: no call, no hospital rounding, 5-day week
• Run your own clinic, supported by nurse practitioners
• Interpret the practice's in-house imaging: PET/CT, Holter and MCT
• Lead imaging quality and protocols for the Nassau sites
• Works closely with Catholic Health on same-day patient access; Catholic Health privileging supported, fees paid by the practice

Compensation and benefits

• $500,000 base salary; total compensation $700,000 to $750,000 at current volume
• $25,000 annual retention bonus
• $25,000 a year in student-loan repayment for four years
• Profit-sharing eligible

Requirements

• MD or DO; board certified or board eligible in cardiovascular disease
• New York State medical license, or eligible to obtain one
• Level 2 or Level 3 training in nuclear cardiology and/or echocardiography; CBNC or NBE certification preferred
• Comfortable interpreting cardiac PET/CT and ambulatory monitoring at volume
