Work Environment
This is a fully remote position, allowing for flexibility while maintaining work-life balance. You will have the autonomy to design your schedule while being supported by a collaborative interdisciplinary team. Although primarily remote, you will interact with clients and colleagues via telehealth platforms, ensuring seamless therapeutic engagement and support. The position requires adaptability and proficiency in digital communication technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments, gathering vital information about clients' mental health concerns, resources, and strengths to inform treatment decisions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, and solution-focused interventions tailored to client-specific goals.
- Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, fostering a supportive environment where clients can explore their feelings and progress toward healing.
- Engage in crisis intervention, conducting risk assessments and developing safety plans to ensure client wellbeing in urgent situations.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and community health professionals, to ensure cohesive and holistic support for each client.
- Maintain meticulous and timely documentation of client progress in adherence to ethical and legal standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.
- Conduct psychoeducation classes and support groups, empowering clients by providing information and coping strategies related to mental health and recovery.
Patient Population / Client Focus
At Riverside Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse client population, including children, adolescents, and adults from various backgrounds and with varying mental health challenges. This role allows you to address complex cases involving trauma, anxiety, and depression, making a significant impact on their mental health journeys and fostering resilience and recovery.
Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
- Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
- At least two years of direct experience working in a mental health or outpatient setting, with a strong understanding of therapeutic modalities.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a talent for building rapport and fostering trust with clients.
- Solid assessment skills, enabling thorough evaluation of clients' psychological needs and developmental histories.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Familiarity with community mental health resources and referral processes.
- Previous involvement in treatment team settings, demonstrating collaborative skills in multidisciplinary contexts.
Compensation and Benefits
