Cleveland Clinic Florida’s Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Thoracic Surgeon to join our growing team at Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital, our flagship quaternary care campus in South Florida.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a nationally recognized thoracic surgery program within one of the world’s leading academic medical centers. Our thoracic surgeons provide comprehensive surgical care for patients with diseases of the lungs, esophagus and chest, including complex and rare conditions. The program embraces the latest advances in minimally invasive and robotic techniques and works closely with multidisciplinary teams across Cleveland Clinic.
The Opportunity
- Join an established and collaborative team of thoracic and cardiothoracic surgeons within Cleveland Clinic’s Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute
- Provide comprehensive thoracic surgical care, including lung, esophageal, airway and chest procedures
- Opportunity to participate in a high-volume, multidisciplinary practice with access to complex and tertiary/quaternary cases
- Practice at Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital, a 258-bed quaternary care hospital serving South Florida and beyond
- Collaborate closely with specialists across Pulmonary Medicine, Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Gastroenterology and other multidisciplinary programs
- Access to Cleveland Clinic’s robust academic environment, including opportunities for teaching, research and clinical innovation
- Participate in the continued growth and development of thoracic surgical services throughout Cleveland Clinic Florida
The Ideal Candidate
- MD or DO
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Thoracic Surgery
- Completion of an accredited Thoracic Surgery residency/fellowship
- Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Florida
- Strong interest in multidisciplinary care and advanced surgical techniques
- Robotic and minimally invasive thoracic surgery experience preferred
