Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring at least one year of IR experience and AHA-issued certifications, with candidates must residing outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.
Details
- Interventional Radiology (IR) unit within a hospital setting
- Specialty areas include Neuro IR, Vascular IR, and General IR — experience in at least 2 of these areas is preferred
- Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact (eNLC) RN license
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association required upon hire
- ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required within 6 months of hire — all certifications must be AHA-issued
- Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology nursing experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include assuming care for an assigned patient group, documenting responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments, and monitoring physiological data
- Assists physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures, administers medications, and manages IV infusions and blood products
- Communicates care plans to patients and families, delegates tasks to support staff, and makes referrals as appropriate
- Previous travelers who have completed a contract at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply again
- This facility enforces strict compliance deadlines — candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon offer acceptance
